Cast aluminum. Made to fit the front of a stock lower unit to reduce the angle of the gearcase housing, lengthening the transition from the gearcase nose to its trailing edge, reducing the chance of building a vacuum pocket on the side of the gearcase. Improves handling. Can be attached to the lower unit with epoxy, bondo or similar adhesive. Fits all lower units.
